Regarding my exit from publishing — A longish story but this is part of it. More will come.

FB won’t let me be great. Second try long long thinky post about my writing and self expression. I think i’m not really gonna be blogging anymore so consider it a mini blog post.

Thinky thots about this whole thing with correction and how I communicate. My writing career.

TLDR I realize now that frankly, I had no chance at mainstream popularity. No matter how well anything I’ve done has performed, the first thing people often do is tell me the ways I fucked it up, said things wrong, didn’t write specifically for them etc. It happens to me in meat space, on the intertubes.

My first real “not a cultural fit” was during the fatosphere. I think it was *redacted* was looking for an additional blogger, some folks suggested me and I had no intention of wanting to do it but it came down to “not a cultural/good fit” that honestly, felt pretty racial tbh. Given my experiences with white fat bloggers, researchers and activists I think it was. My work has always, even going back to diary-x, livejournal etc to be referenced, in textbooks (I know of at least 6 textbooks on things from body poli, feminism/gender with only ONE having paid me and gotten permission) but no matter what I’m talking about there is this thing where folks wanna tell me I didn’t…
