A love story new poetry by me.

Assimilation be like

You are so well spoken.

But

I ain’t.

I been faking.

I been trying

Real hard, to fit.

Assimilation be like

Love wins!

But yo crippled ass can’t get married

And keep healthcare

And keep your benefits

And good luck with them bills ho.

Assimilation be like

It’s just hair!

No not like that.

Also not like that.

No way it just grows like that…

Assimilation be like

YASS QUEEN HUNTY BOOTS DOWN THE HOUSE BABY

But how do I explain you exist to my kids…

But just don’t shove it in my face…

But love wins?

Assimilation be like
